Emergency Tree Care in Dallas–Fort Worth
Storm came through? Tree on the house, the car, the road? Call us first — we run a 24/7 storm response across the DFW Metroplex.
Our emergency tree care service
DFW storms are unpredictable and brutal. A 70-mph straight-line wind can drop a 60-year oak in a single gust, and the calls we get the morning after a big front are some of the most stressful we handle. Our promise: you call, an arborist or dispatcher answers, and we have a crew on your property fast.
Emergency tree work is genuinely different from scheduled work. Trees in failure can shift unpredictably. Power lines are often involved. Insurance documentation needs to happen before debris is moved. We handle all of it — and we don't price-gouge in emergencies. Storm-response pricing is published and honest.

What emergency tree care solves
Tree on a house
First priority everywhere we work — we stabilize the tree, tarp the roof if needed, and remove it safely.
Tree on a vehicle
Documented removal so your auto/homeowners insurance has what it needs to process the claim.
Tree across a road or driveway
Same-day clearance to get you back to using your property.
Hung-up limbs (widow-makers)
Large limbs caught in the canopy that could fall at any time. Rigged down safely from above.
Split or partially failed trees
A split co-dominant stem is one of the most dangerous tree conditions. We can sometimes cable and save them; often we need to remove them.
How we approach emergency tree care
Triage call
Tell us the situation. We prioritize life-safety, then structures, then property.
Dispatch
Crew arrives with a clear scope, the right equipment, and an arborist on point.
Documentation
Photos, measurements, scope of damage — everything your insurance adjuster will need.
Stabilize first
If the tree is still on a structure, we stabilize before cutting. Sometimes that means temporary cabling or a crane.
Safe removal
Section by section, rigged down. We minimize secondary damage to the structure beneath.
Tarp & cleanup
Temporary roof tarp if needed, debris hauled, you have what you need to call your contractor and insurance.
Emergency Tree Care cost in DFW
What drives the price
- Time of day / day of week
- Severity of damage
- Power line involvement
- Crane requirement
- Insurance vs. self-pay (we work with both)
What you should NOT do
- DO NOT touch a tree that's contacting a power line. Call Oncor (or your utility) first.
- Don't move debris off your car or house before your insurance adjuster has photographed it — unless safety requires it.
- Don't sign a 'we'll handle your insurance for you' contract from a door-to-door storm crew. Most are out-of-state contractors who disappear after the cleanup is paid.
- Don't pay cash with no receipt to whoever shows up first after a storm.
What to expect
Tree off the structure, debris cleared, photos and a documented scope of work in your hands for the insurance claim. We don't repair the roof or rebuild fences — that's a contractor's job — but everything tree-related is handled.
The risks of not addressing this
A partially-failed tree often fails completely within hours or days. Limbs hung up in canopies routinely drop in subsequent storms or even calm weather. The cost of waiting is usually the cost of a more expensive removal AND additional damage.
Emergency Tree Care questions answered
Is it really 24/7?
Yes. Storm response especially is round-the-clock from spring through fall. Off-peak emergencies may have a slightly longer response window but we respond.
Do I call you or my insurance company first?
If life or property is in immediate danger, call us (or 911 for life). For non-life-threatening damage, call us to stabilize, then call your insurance. We help with the documentation.
Do you bill my insurance directly?
Sometimes — depends on your carrier. Most often the homeowner pays us and gets reimbursed by insurance with the documentation we provide.
Will my homeowners insurance cover this?
Generally: yes for damage to insured structures and for removal of the portion of the tree on the structure. Coverage varies, so check your policy.
What if power lines are involved?
Call your utility first (Oncor: 1-888-313-4747). Once the line is de-energized or contained, we can do the tree work.
How fast can you actually be on-site?
Tree-on-house within 1–3 hours typically during storms. Other emergencies within a few hours, usually same day.
Do you do tarping?
Yes — temporary roof tarp is included on tree-on-house jobs to prevent water damage until your roofer arrives.
Do you price-gouge after storms?
No. Storm rates are slightly higher than scheduled work because of after-hours crew costs, but we publish our pricing and don't change it based on desperation.
